UNAVINI,
the National Union of Associated Wine Producers, was founded
on February 2nd, 1988. It was then officially acknowledged by
the M.A.F Decree dated 14.12.1989 in the Official Gazette n.
12 dated 16.01.1990, according to the Law 674/78.
UNAVINI is a national organisation that co-ordinates the different
needs and requests coming from regional associated members.
Therefore, it represents all the most important Italian wine
regions.
The members represent approximately 42.000
associates and 97 Cooperative Wine cellars with
3 -3,5 million hectoliters of wine produced.
UNAVINI is an independent and unitary organism. It is characterized
from a extremely simple and flexible structure, necessary in
order to carry out the better relationship cost-benefits in
it's the own function.
UNAVINI's purpose is to safeguard and improve wine production
and trade, in particular gearing wine production and offer to
market demands, and supporting the participation of producers
in agricultural planning.
In order to attempt it's own purpose UNAVINI has welcomed the
Agea announcement of competition n. 601 dated 04.02.2002, and
accepted the EC Regulation n. 94/2002 introducing "Vino
è" a Communication And Promotion Project Of Italian
And European Wine In The Domestic Market.
In 2004 Unavini has promoted the opening of some wine shops
under the brand "MilleVigne".
Therefore, UNAVINI members believe they are ready to have a
leading role in the national wine market, causing a significant
improvement in the Association's functions.
